Watching CSI has allowed me to understand some of that shit.

The formatting on that doesn't come out right, but at the top are the headers... it shows you the 16 loci, then the results of each loci for the kid and
for the father and to which degree they match.
But I got the test because that is what I believe in. One look at that kid and then Becca and I and you can tell that 80% of that kid's features came from me (poor girl). |

It is interesting to see one of those. I sincerely hope to never be personally involved with one. I also think that the probability of me never being involved
in paternity is about the same as your probability of paternity in that report.

I was kind of hoping it came by way of a singing telegram.

It did Mamu, but that is something I am unable to share with you.... but let me tell you it was fantastic!

I'd just like to say that on All my children, one life to live and general hospital - the mom always has someone working in the lab and fixing the test
results. its not until the child needs a liver, or a kidney that the truth comes out.
*******Maury is great TV. Ever want to feel better about yourself? Watch that show. Or COPS.******* god don't they! however i do love it when they run around the set in joy bc they aren't the father and upset bc they have to bring in more guys to be tested. i just shake my head a wonder. nine guys admit to nutting in you w/o protection in a short period of time... yuck. |

The worst ones are when it's like a mom and a fiance/husband and she is not sure, but they're hoping it's the fiance/husband, but sure as shit...
there he sits on stage with like 5 other dudes, all getting tested. It's like dude, is her pussy really that magical my friend? You are looking like the
biggest tool on national TV.

Yeah, the ones with the "happy family" are tough to watch. Especially if the dad is a good dad and clearly in love with his kids.
That show sort of makes me wonder if people actually paid attention in sex ed class and really know how pregnancy occurs and the timelines involved in giving birth. |

She's a beauty Benny. I love all of her hair! Becca and you look sooooo happy. Congrats!
Oh, and I'm totally against DNA testing, in my opinion, it shows a lack of trust and true intimacy. No offense to you or Becca, but I felt compelled to share my thoughts on it since everyone else has. Fire away Steely! |

Of course you're against it! You're a girl... you know the kid is yours. Saying you understand my side of it would be like me saying I understand what
it's like to give birth. I think there are a lot of things that people should learn to just realize they will never truly know the other side of the coin.
But no offense taken, as long as Becca and I are good with it, doesn't matter if anyone else is against it or not.

i spoke to bean about it, and told her she could never understand the little doubt a man might have.
james popped out and looks just like me so i didn't need one, but if that fucker had red hair or something, it would be done if just so i'd sleep better at night. |

btw, she understood her inability to not be able to truly empathize, and told me to do what i need to do.

My kid ain't gonna be named no Blade Flannigan Jr. I'm gonna make Bubba proud.
Trip, Ava looks like me a lot also, but that isn't really the way I want things to go down. I've always maintained that I'm having the test no matter what, no matter who the kid is with, anything. So to add the element of "if the kid doesn't look like me, then I'll test" well, I think that would be a bit more on the signalling I don't trust her. I really believe DNA tests should be required and while I realize I'm no Rosa Parks by getting this test, I still feel it was important for me to stand by my belief on it and get a test regardless. Ava looks almost exactly like I did when I was born, she was definitely mine, but that doesn't mean I didn't want the DNA still. I think that part is hard for people, generally girls, to understand. |

oh i'm pickin up what your puttin down. we each have our comfort level. james doesn't look like me when i was a kid, he looks like me now, and he looks
enough like me that i'm comfortable with that.
actually, to play off a post a few back, he looks a lot like my brother did as a kid, but thats because i'm the runt of the family, and if his percentile on the height and weight charts this first year are any indication, he'll end up more like my brother at 6'3" and my grandfather at 6'4" then me at 5'9". |

I'm a girl and I've said it before - I would do a DNA test. I wouldn't do it just because the guy wanted to have piece of mind. I would do it so
that without a doubt the paternity of the child was known. I've personally seen to many guys disavow various children, and I wouldn't want my child to
have to go through that.

What kind of a sick ass world do we live in? This was the main reason I used to say I never wanted to bring kids into this pile of shit of a place.

where guys refuse to support the kids they made. where women lie about who the father of her kid my be. where teens are shooting each other. where children are taped smoking weed. where husbands kill their wives, but pretend to be obtuse about here whereabouts. where parents leave their kids in the care during 100+ weather so that they can go shopping. where mothers abandon their kids for drugs. and on and on and on. |

The main reason it sickens me is that people are okay with this and acclimated to it. The fact that so many of you are okay with DNĂ… testing of a wife
who gives birth to her husband's baby supports this. Sorry Benny.....nothing personal, if you were the only person who thought this was okay I wouldn't
feel like puking, but it seems that most people are for it.

Well I'm with Sary 100% which is why I posted the question to begin with. Although I do have to say, in his defense, he told Becca before they even
married (from my understanding?) that this was how he felt about this subject and when he did the test she didn't have any issues.
