My professor of Human Sexuality (in college) stated at the very beginning of the first lecture that blue balls is a myth. He told the males specifically that, from that day forward, they could never use that as an excuse to guilt their g/f's into finishing them.
There are times when my b/f has had too much to drink, or when I haven't managed to finish that he'll chose to stop so that we can relax and come back to the act later when we both might have better luck of enjoying things to the fullest. When I've asked him about having blue balls, he's never once claimed to have it, never once complained that he needed to finish that minute.
