G'day Scorp! Things are pretty damn near perfect here. In about 30 mins I'm headed off to the airport to collect my parents, their first visit here.
They're here for nearly a month and it's been 18 months since I saw them last! It's nice to be missed, thank you! x
Christmas was certainly nicer (weather-wise) than last year. We can't be arsed to do roasts here, it doesn't seem to fit with summer and all. So we just did dinner as usual in the evening, but we went to the beach in the afternoon which was nice. There was a big crowd of Samoans playing guitars and ukeleles and singing in Samoan. It must have been pretty funny / filthy as they were all cracking up! All the kids on the beach were paddling in the sea, it was just idyllic! New Year's Eve, unfortunately hubby had to play a gig, but I took Lauren to a friend's house and there was a whole bunch of us there, tons of kids, and we just made merry. 
Santa was a tad more generous to my little girl than to me  but that's how it should be I reckon.
What's new with you? I'm off now until the 20th woo hoo! The 19th is Wellington Anniversary so we're probably going to the horse races on that day. The day before, Sunday 18th, we're going over to Kapiti Island (google it, it's an amazing place!) and popping over to the mainland a week later. Won't get as far south as Suppy lives unfortunately, only really just grazing the surface and going to Blenheim and Nelson. Catch you later! M. x |

I'm trying to sell my house so I can move in with my fiance (yep, we got engaged for Christmas). Other than that, things are the same...boys growing up, the oldest in college now and living out on his own; working night shift (right now...we're just so busy, can'tcha tell??). The weather there sounds lovely....wish it was sunny and warm here! Have fun visiting with your parents! Visit here when you can! |

 Scorp, many many congrats on your engagement, and best of luck selling your house! I saw on facebook that
tabbykiwi is visiting NZ soon so we might have a couple of drinks if we're both free, and if he's coming to this area. Haven't managed to be in the
same area yet as suppy for a bevvy or two, but hopefully this year.
Got back yesterday from a trip around the North Island with my parents and Lauren. We had a blast, and went a bit up Mount Ruapehu. Saw snow for the first time in two years. Well, we saw some 6 months ago in winter, but it was on the distant mountains from our house. Close enough for me!
Good to be back home, and we have a public holiday on Monday (Wellington Anniversary) so more time off yay! Promise to visit far far more often.

We don't have much snow in my region, but you're welcome to come and take the cold temps home with you! As much as I like having 4 seasons, I think
I'm ready to move to warmer climates myself.
