Things are finally beginning to calm down here at the airport. We have had massive flight delays the past three months due to the turbulant spring weather. Chicago has been especially bad. When one major hub goes down due to weather, it causes a cascading effect across the country and everybody is screwed. It's been crazy. Flights have been piling in on top of one of another and all of them have been quick turns. But more predictable summer weather is here now and things have been normal the past week. I can finally pay more attention to school. |

To both Jersey and Ghost: You guys need to Simma Donna. Jersey- did I comment on YOUR week in any way? Did I say you were not allowed to be frustrated, or angry or whatever over YOUR particular situation ? I
mean this in the nicest possible way, but you need to get over yourself and understand that not every single thing posted (by me or anyone else) is a comment
about YOU, even if its a reply in a thread you started. Seriously, I thought we had gotten past this antagonize each other all the time BS. Make a note: my
post SPECIFICALLY referenced MY LINE OF WORK, NOT YOURS. I didnt say "Suck it up JS and deal. This is the sort of stuff I have to put up with sometimes
so you have no reason to whine". I just commented on MY perspective and how I have to remind myself sometimes what a bad week FOR ME really is. So sorry
I dared to post something on the topic of bad work weeks from MY perspective vs just posting something coddling and sucking up to your cute little ass. And
you want to call me me patronizing???? Get over yourself. Can you tell your post sort of pissed me off ?? Well it did... not so much what you siad but
more that you ASSUMED it was some kinda swipe at YOU. But no worries. I dont hold a grudge, and in about 5 mins I will be over it.
By IS's reasoning, nobody can have a bad week unless they are military, emergency services personnel or victims.Read above please. Now explain to me how "my reasoning" said one fucking word about who can have, and who cannot have, a "bad week". Unusual for you Ghost. You are normally pretty good about seeing whats actually said without imposing some "agenda" over the top of it. |

Cause I want this to be above the other threads JS felt the need to post in, and in to which I replied. The flow is better that way. |

ghostbusted wrote: I didn't take that from his post at all. In his job that's a bad week, in some other people's line of work it's when the toner cartridge for the printer runs out and the spare turns out to be defective. A friend of mine runs a printing business that would be a serious hit to his weekly income. We are all different and have varying skills and interests. My daughter just finished her first day of being a practicing doc (under supervision but not directly) and she was just glad she didn't kill anyone that day. A bad day where I work is when there is a major power outage over three counties for an hour and a half and there are claims it cost some major companies $25 million and every agency known to man is breathing down your neck over it. Coworkers had to have a chat with our legal counsel and all that shit. Lots of sleep was lost by lots of people for two weeks and we did nothing wrong. If you work in a store and there are hardly any customers for a week or so you get bored. If you own a store and you don't see very many customers in a week not only are you going to be bored but you won't be able to pay your bills. A bad week can be vastly different depending on the person. What I didn't see was any judgement over whose job was more important or who as a person was more important. I did see insecurity rear it's less then beautiful little head and some leaping to conclusions not backed by the evidence but that will happen. |

I think that I was led by the all caps "REALLY' and the last sentence to overlook the part in parentheses. It just appeared to me that the post was
intended to minimize routine problems. Some of the following posts may have reinforced this idea.

Dear IS, My Fellow Board Spaz, I think you need to Simma Donna. Especially since Ghost is the LEAST emotional creature on this board and he wasn't acting spazy at all. Now while I might be more spazy your response is just as spazy! And hey guess what, I never said YOU directly said anything in reference to my post. It was like Ghost said, all the posts together that contributed to it and I still stand by it. I am in agreement with Ghost. Spazastically yours, JS |
